AnanasCastPrivacy policy
This policy describes the AnanasCast website, product, support and licensing service. G. Sæther is the controller for AnanasCast product and support data. Paddle acts separately for checkout and payment data under its own notices.
THE MEDIA ROUTE
Desktop pixels or system audio begin only after you choose a source and start the cast.
Discovery is not trust. A receiver must be paired and verified before it accepts a cast from the Windows app.
Stop, disconnect, background, Forget, or error clears bounded media and presentation state.
What the supported route does not add
What AnanasCast handles
Each installation owns a protected identity. Confirmed peers retain only the binding needed for exact-identity reconnect and explicit Forget. Pairing values, private keys and session keys are not public diagnostics.
Theme and bounded product preferences may remain on the device. A source type can be remembered; media, sensitive window handles and screen content are not retained as product history.
Visible product state and diagnostic export may contain version, public lifecycle outcomes, bounded counts, timing and selected public profile. It excludes media, participant names, endpoints, credentials and protected session material.
When licensing opens, the service will process opaque installation and provider identifiers, plan and entitlement state, subscription status, update cutoffs, recovery state and bounded security events. Raw recovery and refresh credentials are not stored.
Purchase delivery resolves the email verified by Paddle and stores only a keyed lookup value needed for bounded recovery and resend. It is not used for marketing or to create a general AnanasCast account.
Messages to ananascast.app inboxes contain the address, message and attachments you send. Please do not send media, payment-card data, pairing values, activation or recovery codes, private keys, certificates or raw protected logs.
This website
The site stores one appearance preference in your browser. It stays on that device unless browser storage is cleared.
The pricing page uses the country code attached to the web request by the site host to show NOK in Norway and USD elsewhere. It does not request GPS location or store a pricing-region cookie.
The site host may process normal request data such as IP address, time, requested path, browser metadata and security events to deliver and protect the site. AnanasCast does not add a product-owned analytics tracker or advertising pixel.
If you join the waitlist, AnanasCast stores your email address, consent version and time, and active or removed status. It is used only to tell you when AnanasCast launches—not for a newsletter, advertising profile or third-party list. You can withdraw at any time by emailing support.
Providers and purposes
When sales open, Paddle will process customer, checkout, payment, tax, invoice, subscription, refund and fraud-prevention data under Paddle’s own privacy notice and buyer terms. AnanasCast receives only the provider events needed to fulfil and reconcile access.
When licensing opens, AnanasCast will process the minimum installation, plan and entitlement state needed to verify access. Payment-card data and cast media are not sent to that service.
Infrastructure providers may process ordinary request and security data to deliver and protect the website, store the waitlist and operate the licensing service. AnanasCast does not send cast media to that infrastructure.
Email providers process messages and purchase-delivery mail sent to or from ananascast.app addresses. Email is not a secure route for secret licence, payment or media data.
Legal basis, retention and rights
The waitlist is based on the consent you give in the signup form. Other processing is limited to providing the requested product or support, performing the customer contract, protecting the service and users, and meeting accounting, tax, fraud-prevention or other legal obligations.
A waitlist record is removed when you withdraw or no later than 90 days after the launch notice is sent. Transient cast media is cleared with the session. Local pairing and preferences remain until Forget, reset or uninstall. Licensing, transaction-linkage, fraud and support records are retained only for as long as needed to provide the product, resolve disputes, protect the service or meet accounting, tax and other legal duties.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or receive a copy of personal data, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Some transaction or security records must be retained where the law requires it.
