Before the first frame
What AnanasCast needs.
Coming-soon requirementsAnanasCast uses two visible applications on one reachable local network. Check this intended launch baseline before the public download opens.
01THE TWO ENDS
Windows sends. The installed receiver welcomes.
WINDOWS PCAnanasCast for Windows
A supported Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC with current graphics drivers and permission to use the private local network.
- Windows N editions may require Microsoft’s Media Feature Pack.
- Compatibility depends on the PC’s graphics and media capabilities.
- Normal casting does not require administrator rights.
APPLE TVAnanasCast Receiver
Download AnanasCast Receiver from the App Store on Apple TV, then keep the app open and visible while connecting.
- The receiver must be available in the foreground.
- First connection requires visible confirmation on both screens.
- Supported tvOS versions and Apple TV models will be listed at launch.
LOCAL NETWORKOne reachable LAN
Both devices must be able to discover and reach each other on the same local network. Guest isolation, VLAN rules, or a blocked Windows firewall path can prevent discovery.
- No cloud relay or Internet casting fallback.
- Discovery is only a hint; pairing and reconnect still verify identity.
- Endpoints and network identifiers stay out of public diagnostics.
What you can choose
Source and output are separate decisions.
AVAILABLE PATHAn attached display
Choose a visible Windows display, cursor policy, system audio, and one bounded output target before Start.
AVAILABLE PATHA selected window
Use the Windows system picker. Closed, lost, or unavailable sources clear locally instead of leaving a stale TV image.
AVAILABLE PATHA selected region
Draw a local physical-pixel region and share only that area. The outline and coordinates stay transient and are cleared after Stop or source loss.
AVAILABLE PATHAudio only
Send system audio without beginning desktop capture or video work.
COMPATIBILITYChoose a tested setup.
Final launch requirements will name supported Windows editions, Apple TV models, tvOS versions, network conditions, and the quality profiles available for each tested setup.
